Winter is an excellent opportunity to study gulls. As norther lakes and river get frozen, water fowls in various plumage phases gather in large numbers on  Lake Mead. Gull identification has traditionally challenged all bird watchers. This an excellent to learn how to identify gulls with experts Justin Streit, Ben Zyla and Brandon Miller. The field trip will visit multiple locations on Lake Mead.
