We will walk (about half a mile round trip at 9000′ elevation) at Mt. Charleston to search for owls.  Chances of seeing an owl are very low but we have a good chance of hearing one.  Flammulated Owl is our most likely possibility.  Participants should wear sturdy walking shoes, and bring warm coverups (it will probably be quite cool after the sun goes down), water, snacks, binoculars, and flashlight.  We will meet in Las Vegas at 5:45 p.m. and return to town no later than 11 p.m.  Trip will be cancelled or postponed if windy conditions are forecast as we will not be able to hear any owl calls.  Meet-up location will be provided later.

Limit is 10 participants.
