Winter Bird Festival, St. George, UT
January 25 through 27, 2018
Heads up! Registration for this festival begins on November 1st. A number of members attended this excellent event last year and are looking forward to returning. The Beryl and Zion field trips were especially fun for photographers and bird watchers.
Check the festival’s informative website stgeorgebirdfest.com. Note the information and maps regarding field trips and presentation locations.
Some have limited participation so you should sign up quickly if there is something that interests you. Presentations take place at The Children’s Museum, 86 S. Main Street, and the Tonaquint Nature Center, 1851 S. Dixie Drive. Many field trips meet up at the Tonaquint parking lot.
The website also includes some hotel information. Trip Advisor also is an excellent resource. Three hotels which offer free breakfast, are under $80.00 per night and are within about three miles of the festival venues are the St. George Inn and Suites, the Best Western Coral Hills and the Comfort Inn at Convention Center.
Nancy Chang will be the social director for this event. Call her if you need further information. Let her know if you will be attending and if you are interested in car pooling. 513-509-9961.
