“Happiness is seeing the Thick-billed Kingbird.”

Lead by Theresa Hyde, we visited Fiesta Island, Border Field State Park, J Street Marina, Tijuana River Mouth, Tidepools at Cabrillo NM, Famosa Slough and Liberty Station. All of us added species to our life list. Our favorite birds were the Thick-billed Kingbird, Allen’s Hummingbird, Tri-colored Heron, White-tailed Kite, Brown Booby. We had great looks at the Black and Ruddy Turnstones, the Brandt and Pelagic Cormorants and Sage Thrasher!!!. The McCown’s and Chestnut-collared Longspurs, the Wandering Tattler and theTropical Kingbird eluded us (next time).

Thank you Theresa for a wonderful trip.
